In 1963, Pierre Paulin changed what a chair could be. A car design enthusiast, he brought automotive techniques into furniture: a low, lightweight tubular frame, like an early car seat, fully covered in Pirelli foam and wrapped in stretch fabric with no seams or breaks. The structure vanished beneath the skin, leaving one smooth, aerodynamic form.

The result was the Tongue: low, light, fluid, a chair boiled down to a single gesture. It wasn't just a new seat. It was a new language for furniture.

For DroPPP, Paulin, Paulin, Paulin teams up with San Francisco artist Larry June to reinterpret the Tongue through his signature visual style. The chair comes in a bold orange stretch velvet, pushing Paulin's continuous silhouette into one striking block of color. Underneath, custom green glides add Larry's signature contrast, one stamped with the PPP logo in crystals, a hidden, jewelry-like detail at floor level.

Each chair is individually numbered by hand, 1 to 75, since 75 is Paris' area code, a nod to Larry June's connection to the city and his latest music video, shot there.
