Mitterrand Desk Chair

The set commissioned in 1983 by François Mitterrand for his presidential office is an iconic creation born from the collaboration between Pierre Paulin and the Mobilier National. A dialogue across the ages, the so-called “Mitterrand” armchair is a true masterpiece of craftsmanship, a remarkable fusion of the Régence armchair with its double caning and the molded shell chair by Ray and Charles Eames. Its hexagonal shape is a subtle nod paying tribute to the country’s geography.
Limited edition of 30 pieces.
