Mitterrand Low Table
The set commissioned in 1983 by François Mitterrand for his presidential office is an iconic ensemble from Pierre Paulin’s collaboration with the Mobilier National. The bold blue and Tyrian pink hues are inspired by a Charles Le Brun tapestry from the Salon Doré, while the forms remain resolutely modern. Delivered in April 1985, the collection reflects Paulin’s 1980s return to tradition and his passion for fine cabinetry.
